Information that we collect

Our server gets an anonymous count from your browser whenever a page loads. This includes the page visited, whether you use a phone or computer, the site you came from, and any estimator use, result copying or source link clicks. The stored information includes no name, email, VIN or figures you enter. Standard access logs are also kept by the server, as on any website. Examples include the IP address, time and requested page. These records help us learn which parts of the page are useful. We don't share or sell them. We include no outside scripts, and there are no ads or trackers.

About your VIN

Your browser sends any VIN you type straight to the free vPIC service provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It looks up the year, make and model. Your VIN never reaches our server, isn't stored and never appears in a share link. Your selection of a make and year requests the model list from the same service.

Storage on your browser

To keep the page quicker next time, the estimator saves your latest vehicle type and condition choices in local storage. It also keeps model lists it fetched in session storage. All of this remains on your device. Reset clears your saved choices, and clearing your browser data removes the remaining information.
